I'm new to this whole blogging thing, so just bear (or is it bare?) with me as I try to figure it out. My sister, Rachel, and my friend, Camille, both have blogs, and since I have wanted to start a blog for a very long time, I figured that there's no time like the present, and I should start one now. Also, I'm really bored right now.
I guess I should tell you a little about myself before I start officially "blogging" (even though I really AM blogging now). Well, as you can tell from my blog's name, I love theatre. I love seeing shows, and I love being in them. I'm not sure if theatre is my true calling for a career, but right now I'm obsessed with it. It all began with Wicked, back when I saw it in 2005. My grandma took me to the Pantages to enter the Wicked lottery (this, incidentally, was the first of many attempts at the Wicked lotto). Wicked was here in LA on its first national tour. I loved the show, but I didn't really become obsessed with it until 2007, when I saw it, again, at the Pantages. Since then, I've seen it (probably) 18 times or more. :P
Since Wicked, I have grown to love Broadway. Wicked will always be my top favorite show, but I also love Rent, Legally Blonde, and many, many more. I've been to New York six times, and each time has been such a blast. I keep on wanting to go back! But doesn't everyone? I got mad at my friend Nikki the other day for saying that she thinks NYC is overrated. Overrated??? NO WAY! She hasn't even been to NYC! I have to take her there someday ;)
Anywho, I'll be updating this blog again soon with cool theatre stuff. What I'd really like to do is start interviewing theatre people and putting the interviews up on this blog. They don't have to be famous theatre people, but famous would be nice. So, if you're a famous theatre person, or just a theatre person, and you would be willing to be interviewed, just say so by leaving a comment on this blog post (or any blog post). :)
Bye-bye,
TheatreSistah
